  • Kaitlyn is an excellent practitioner in all aspects. She provides thoughtful, research-based practices to her clients in a well-thought-out plan that empowers them and makes them feel like they can take control of their eating. I was super impressed at her professionalism and her vast nutrition knowledge specifically regarding endurance training. I am very excited to continue to work with her to help support my goals!

About Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is a dually licensed clinician specializing in eating disorders and sports nutrition, dedicated to fostering holistic well-being through an empathetic, weight-neutral, anti-diet approach. She empowers athletes and individuals to build sustainable relationships with food and body image. With experience spanning eating disorder treatment centers and university settings, Kaitlyn provides individualized care for those navigating disordered eating, Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs), and body image challenges. Previously, she served as the Sports Dietitian for track, cross country, and gymnastics at the University of Minnesota, delivering performance nutrition counseling and education to over 120 student-athletes. Her commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care drives her mission to create safe, inclusive spaces where clients and athletes can thrive without judgment or stigma.

Approach to care

I embrace a simple, unconventional approach to nutrition and mental health care, focusing on the whole person and providing a compassionate space for individuals to be exactly who they are. My priority is ensuring that those I work with feel truly seen and heard, with genuine intention and kindness. I am dedicated to offering non-diet, weight-inclusive, and anti-oppressive care. I invite you to be present, just as you are, as we navigate this journey together.

Your first session with Kaitlyn

This session is thoughtfully designed to honor your individuality and create a supportive, non-judgmental space. We will begin by discussing your goals for our collaboration, emphasizing an anti-diet, weight-inclusive perspective that respects your body and experiences. My approach centers on evidence-based practices that prioritize health and well-being rather than weight as a primary outcome. We will also review your medical history with care and sensitivity, recognizing the impact of social and systemic factors on your relationship with food and your body. Together, we will co-create a plan that aligns with your values, fostering self-compassion and sustainable change without reinforcing harmful diet culture or oppressive practices. Our aim is to cultivate a healing environment where your voice is heard and your needs are honored, empowering you to develop a positive, balanced relationship with food and body trust.
