About Kama
I’m a Registered Dietitian with 17 years of experience supporting women through weight loss, perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. I specialize in helping women manage hormonal changes, gut issues, fatigue, and weight shifts that often occur in midlife. I take a root-cause approach, combining functional medicine, lab testing, and real-life strategy to reduce symptoms and support long-term health. In addition to menopause support, I also help women with autoimmune disorders, gut issues, thyroid conditions, general health and pre-diabetes, especially when these overlap with hormonal shifts. I believe in using food as medicine for healing, energy, and strength — not as punishment or restriction. I have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program focused on functional movement, breathwork, and body awareness. While I am not Yoga Alliance registered, this training deepens my holistic approach to health, especially for women navigating midlife transitions.
Approach to care
My process is personalized, methodical, and empowering. I combine nutrition, labs, and coaching to help you manage symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, bloating, and weight gain, while supporting long-term health like bone strength, heart health, muscle maintenance, and brain function. I also help you build a better relationship with food, using tools like intuitive eating and personalized macros when appropriate. Functional medicine — root-cause focused care Lab testing — hormones, inflammation, nutrient levels Exercise integration — muscle, metabolism, and recovery Research-based — up-to-date science guides my practice Practical, habit-focused behavior change
Your first session with Kama
During our first session, I will review your full health history, symptom timeline, lifestyle, labs (if available), and goals. I’ll ask about your cycle, sleep, stress, digestion, energy, and past challenges with food. Together, we’ll outline a plan focused on what matters to you most — starting with clear, manageable steps.
