About Karen

Hello and welcome! Growing up, I had an early obsession with food, cooking and making messes in my parent’s kitchen. Overtime, this eventually evolved into preparing meals based on whole, nutrient-rich foods to nourish those around me. I decided to study nutrition in college as I wanted to find a way to reach and help people that was universal to everyone’s needs. I now have 14+ years of experience as a registered dietitian helping clients treat and manage chronic disease through diet and lifestyle. I strive to meet people where they are at and collaborate with them to build a foundation of strong, health-giving habits that are both sustainable and impactful. I emphasize a functional approach, addressing not just the symptoms, but the root causes of health issues. I view food and nutrition as powerful tools that positively influence well-being and connect others to their families, culture and community.

Approach to care

My style is both compassionate and collaborative. I combine evidenced-based nutrition science with a whole-person perspective and utilize a holistic lens to address health concerns. I believe in supporting my clients with gentle accountability, education, and the strategies needed to apply the new knowledge in a way that improves their confidence and ability to progress through the changes.

You may want to bring recent labs, a medications list, and a food diary, if you have them. This information will guide us in creating a customized plan that we will collaborate to implement together over time. Each session builds on the next to troubleshoot any challenges and fine-tune as needed!
