About Karen
Hi! I'm a Registered Dietitian with experience in helping people manage their chronic health issues, like diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure. I also enjoy working with people who just want to improve their quality of life by making changes now to prevent any health complications in the future. I'm originally from Colombia and enjoy a variety of foods from different cultures, so I especially enjoy helping people improve their health while still enjoying the foods they like and grew up with!
Approach to care
I like to focus on realistic and manageable changes that overtime lead to sustainable lifestyle habits. I'll help you find the balance between challenging yourself while also going at a pace you feel comfortable with. If you're tired of diet culture, calorie counting and restrictive eating then we'll be a good fit!
Your first session with Karen
We'll get to know each other, in order to help you feel comfortable and to give me a better insight into your day to day, habits and health history. Then we'll pinpoint your starting point and set goals you can implement right away. I'll provide nutrition education at each session so that you can learn the WHY behind what you're doing.
