About Karen
My name is Karen Stave, and I am lucky to be able to call myself a Registered Dietitian for the last 10 plus years. I currently live in North Carolina with my husband and two young children. We enjoy spending time with family, exploring the beach and the mountains, and eating delicious food.
Approach to care
My approach is to use our sessions to learn about you in order to provide you with the best care. This means a lot of what feels like detailed conversations between us, to learn about your past, present, and future to determine how we will tackle your goals. I truly believe education is the key to success, because with education you are empowered to make decisions and choices that fit your goals in that moment or situation. I believe all foods can fit, and I look forward to working together to help you feel your best and most confident!
Your first session with Karen
In our first session, we will spend the majority of the time time getting to know each other. I will ask you about your daily life, routine, relationships, work, and activities in addition to discussion your health and nutrition goals. We will also discuss your health history, and experiences you've had in the past working with different providers.
