About Karen

I am a registered dietitian with over 20 years of experience in clinical and community nutrition. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of conditions, with particular expertise in women’s health, pediatrics, and food allergies and sensitivities. My background in both food science and nutrition allows me to offer practical, evidence-based guidance tailored to each client’s unique needs. I specialize in helping individuals and families make nutritious, affordable, and delicious food choices. Whether you're managing a medical condition, navigating food intolerances, or simply looking to improve your eating habits, I focus on whole-food solutions that support long-term health and fit seamlessly into everyday life.

Approach to care

I approach nutrition counseling like a conversation over coffee with a trusted friend—who just happens to be a dietitian. I want each client to feel at ease, heard, and supported. My goal is to create a relaxed, judgment-free space where we can talk honestly about food, habits, and health. Rather than overwhelming you with big changes all at once, I focus on setting small, realistic goals in each session. These small steps build momentum and add up to meaningful, lasting change over time. Together, we’ll work at your pace, celebrating progress along the way.

Your first session with Karen

In our first session together, we'll begin with a brief introduction to help set the tone and expectations. From there, the focus will shift to you—your story, your current health and nutrition habits, and any goals or concerns you’d like to explore. I’ll ask a few guiding questions along the way, but the conversation is designed to flow naturally, giving you space to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. To wrap up, we’ll work together to set a few small, realistic goals that you can start working on before our next meeting. These goals will be tailored to your lifestyle and priorities, helping you build momentum and confidence from the very beginning.
