About Karianna

Hi, I'm Karianna Larsen, MS, RD! I obtained my Master's in Nutritional Science from Arizona State University and my Bachelor's in Nutrition from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I have one year of experience as a Clinical Inpatient Registered Dietitian, working in a 400+ bed hospital to help patients navigate nutrition with new health diagnoses. I also have experience in sports nutrition and have supported elite junior hockey teams and college football players in performing their best. I love translating science into practical tips and lasting habits. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me hiking or running, lost in a good book, or planning my next trip to escape the desert heat. I’m passionate about making nutrition approachable, realistic, and enjoyable for real life.

Approach to care

My care philosophy blends evidence-based practice with warmth and empathy. I believe in Health At Every Size, and I meet you where you are, focusing on sustainable behaviors and well-being rather than quick fixes or diet culture. Together we'll translate the science into practical steps with clear actions you can start this week. I value education and collaboration, so you leave each session informed, empowered, and supported as we address food, body, and life in a holistic way.

Your first session with Karianna

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll have a warm, nonjudgmental conversation to review your medical history, explore your relationship with food, and discuss your short-term goals. You don't need to have everything figured out yet; this is a collaborative process, not an evaluation. We'll identify 1 or 2 realistic goals to start, and outline a plan that fits your daily life. My aim is for you to leave feeling seen, understood, and hopeful about the next steps.
