Hi, I’m Karina. I’m an RD and LD with five years of experience helping people build healthier relationships with food. I earned my BS in Nutrition Science from UNLV, and my career has taken me from to community health to Telehealth, always with a focus on science-based, compassionate care. When I’m not with clients, you’ll find me lifting for strength, hiking, or practicing calligraphy. I value genuine connection and meeting you where you are so we can create sustainable changes together.

My care philosophy centers on evidence-based, empathetic partnership. I believe food is more than fuel; it’s part of our lives, culture, and wellbeing. We’ll work together to understand your relationship with food, set realistic goals, and translate science into everyday routines. I practice with a Health at Every Size mindset and a holistic lens, considering sleep, stress, and movement as part of your overall health. My approach is direct and actionable, offering clear steps and accountability while staying flexible and kind. I’m committed to lasting habits, not quick fixes, and to educating you so you feel confident choosing what fits your life.

Your first session with Karina

Our first appointment is a warm, judgment-free conversation about you. We’ll review your medical history and lab work, dive into your relationship with food, and discuss your goals and worries. We’ll also explore mindfulness with food and how your daily routines shape choices. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we meet. Together, we’ll outline 1–2 realistic next steps that fit your life and pace, so you leave with clarity and a sense of direction.
