About Karina
Hi, I'm Karina, a Registered Dietitian with over 3 years of experience and a BS in Foods & Nutrition from San Diego State University. My role in a weight management research study shaped my approach to nutrition that is evidence-based and empathetic. Outside the clinic, I love gardening, walking with my dog, and cozying up with a good book. I work with warmth and a collaborative spirit, meeting you where you are and helping you build lasting habits that fit your life.
Approach to care
I’ll meet you where you are, and together we’ll shape a plan grounded in current science and practical steps. I stay curious about what works in your life, and I’ll explain the why behind the advice so you can decide with confidence. I focus on sustainable behaviors and ongoing education to empower you rather than restrict you.
Your first session with Karina
Our first appointment is a low-pressure conversation about you. I’ll listen to your goals, routines, and what’s worked or hasn’t, all in a nonjudgmental space. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet; together we’ll co-create a short-term plan with one to two achievable goals to get started. I’ll explain the science in clear terms and stand beside you as you try new strategies, keeping the focus on steady progress and sustainable change.
