Approach to care
My approach to care is centered on compassion, inclusivity, and practicality. I believe every patient deserves a safe and supportive space where their unique needs, culture, and lived experiences are respected. I strive to meet patients where they are, providing evidence-based guidance that feels realistic and achievable in their daily lives. I have a strong passion for working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and supporting the neurodiverse community with patience and understanding. My goal is to help each person feel empowered, not judged, as we create personalized strategies together. Whether it’s managing a medical condition, building healthier habits, or navigating the challenges of daily life, I focus on making nutrition simple, supportive, and sustainable.
Your first session with Karla
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you — your health history, lifestyle, cultural background, and personal goals. I’ll listen carefully to what’s most important to you, and together we’ll start building a plan that feels realistic and supportive. You can expect a mix of questions, gentle guidance, and space to share openly. I’ll also review any medical information, eating patterns, and wellness habits that may help us create a clear picture of your needs. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with practical next steps and a sense of direction that we’ll continue to refine in future visits. My goal is to make sure you feel heard, respected, and encouraged as we begin your journey toward better health.
