About Karla
Hi, I'm Karla, a Registered Dietitian based in Los Banos, California. I hold an MS in Professional Studies, Leadership in Nutrition, and I’m grateful to work across clinical/hospital settings, private practice, community health, special needs, and academic environments. In my first year as an RD, I’ve learned that listening deeply and translating science into real life is what makes change possible. Outside of work, I love traveling, dancing, cooking new recipes from different cultures, and spending time with my husband and family. I carry RDN, LDN, and CPT credentials to support evidence-based guidance with warmth.

I believe care works best when we collaborate. My approach blends current research with empathy, so you feel seen and supported without judgment. We will translate science into practical steps, set clear actions, and track what matters most to you. I practice a weight-inclusive, health-at-every-size mindset and focus on whole person wellness, mental, emotional, and physical. Your first session with Karla
Think of our first visit as a warm, collaborative conversation. We will review your medical history and current routines, listen to your goals and concerns, and begin shaping a meal plan that fits your life. You don't need to have everything figured out yet; we will work together to establish 1 to 2 realistic short-term goals and a simple pathway forward. The aim is a low-pressure, supportive space where you feel heard and respected as we start building lasting changes.
