About Karli
Hi, I’m Karli Blakley (she/her), a registered dietitian with 5+ years of experience helping people step off the diet roller coaster and build a healthier and more peaceful relationship with food. I earned my Psychology degree from Ft. Lewis College (2013) and my Dietetics degree from UNC Greeley (2018). Blending psychology and nutrition allows me to support clients at the root of their food struggles because, for most people, it’s never just about the food. I specialize in working with individuals who are: * Exhausted by dieting and food rules * Ready to move toward more intuitive & flexible eating * Wanting to improve their relationship with food, body trust and overall well-being * Interested in nutrition support that’s weight-neutral and grounded in science not diet culture My work is rooted in the belief that health is multi-dimensional and that behaviors are where more meaningful change happens, not the number on the scale.
Approach to care
My approach is rooted in the belief that all foods fit. I don’t label foods as “good” or “bad.” Instead, we focus on balancing foods that nourish your body with foods that nourish your soul, both matter! I practice nutrition by addition, meaning we prioritize adding in the foods and habits that help you feel better rather than fixating on restriction or what you “shouldn’t” eat. Working together, your new normal can include: * Freedom from food rules, guilt and shame * No longer having to scour social media for advice * Trusting your body’s hunger, fullness and satisfaction cues * Supporting your health with food that actually tastes good * Nutrition that finally feels sustainable, flexible and realistic * More mental space now that food no longer runs your life I do not focus on weight loss as a primary goal. Instead, we focus on habits, nourishment and body trust, knowing that health outcomes look different for every body.
