I'm passionate about taking what I know about nutrition and applying it to your individual life. It's important for me to approach consults with a realist point of view to figure out what will work best. Let's work towards long-term, sustainable behavior change so you can live a happy, healthy life!
Approach to care
When providing nutrition guidance, care, and counseling I am empathetic and warm. I take a holistic approach to helping you reach your goals by addressing more than just your food intake e.g. sleep, stress, activity, environmental stimulants, content consumption, and more. I am a big believer in the Healthy At Every Size (HAES) movement and am currently working towards being a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
Your first session with Kate
I want to get to know you from all angles. We'll deep dive into your relationship with food, establish short and long-term goals (think SMART goal setting), and identify/address your barriers to getting healthy. I always use the analogy that you are in the drivers seat and I am in the passenger seat AKA you pick the destination while I help with navigation, all the while enjoying the ride (snacks and music included!)
