About Kate

Kate is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She is passionate about supporting individuals who have felt dismissed in traditional healthcare settings that tend to make assumptions about peoples bodies, what they eat and how much they exercise. Kate has spent years helping clients untangle the harmful messages perpetuated by diet culture. Kate believes that much of what we’ve been taught about food and our bodies is rooted in systems designed to benefit from our self-doubt. But well-being doesn’t have to play by those rules. Kate helps clients by questioning the cultural narratives we’ve inherited around food, worth, and control, to make space for a healthier, more empowered relationship with food and their bodies.

Approach to care

For those who’ve spent years cycling through diets, following the rules, and still feeling like they’re falling short, Kate offers a compassionate alternative. She understands how chronic dieting can disconnect people from their bodies and often leads to disordered eating, even when it’s framed as “healthy.” Through weight-inclusive care, intuitive eating, and the principles of Health at Every Size¼, she supports clients in stepping out of the shame-restriction cycle and into a more trusting, sustainable relationship with food and body.

Your first session with Kate

Expect to experience a collaborative space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported as they move toward lasting change. Many people share the experience is not what they thought meeting with a dietitian would be like and are pleasantly surprised to hear something new and empowering instead of the same old "if you just" rhetoric common in diet culture.
