About Kate
I am a registered dietitian nutritionist passionate about helping others learn how to best fuel their body while making eating fun and simple again. Together, we will find an eating style that nourishes your body and soul. I have 6+ years of working with eating disorders and disordered eating (4+ years working at an eating disorder treatment facility working with multiple age groups and levels of care). I also have 2 years of experience of working at a level 1 trauma hospital where I helped those with medical conditions such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and tube feedings. Whatever your nutrition goals might be, I am here for you!
Approach to care
I firmly believe in an individualized approach. You and I will partner together to find nutrition that feels best specifically for YOUR body. I also take an anti-diet and an "all foods fit" approach. This means we will look for ways to incorporate balance, variety, and moderation to meet your nutrition goals while also eating ALL your favorite foods! I also know the importance of taking a non-judgmental approach. You will be able to talk freely about your eating habits in a judgement free zone, which helps me better help you meet your nutrition goals!
Your first session with Kate
Our first session will primarily be us getting to know each other. The goal of our first session is to gather information about you and your day to day life to give me an idea of everything that may influence how, what, and why you eat. I will ask you questions about your health history, eating history, current eating and lifestyle habits, and your nutrition and health goals.
