About Katelyn
Katelyn is a dietitian with over 5 years of experience. She has enjoyed a successful and rewarding career working in these areas: Nutrition Education (diet culture versus biochemistry), Diabetes Type II (typically not taking clients with Type I or Gestational), Post-Bariatric Support, Disordered eating patterns, Binge-Eating Disorder (Katelyn is not currently taking clients with restrictive food intake disorders, such as ARFID, anorexia nervosa or binge-purge disorders), General Wellness, Chronic Health Concerns, Chronic Dieting, Weight Concerns, Mindful & Intuitive Eating.
Approach to care
Katelyn's goal as a provider is to create a judgement-free space where you can communicate the needs that matter most. She enjoys the conversations that make up each session, and she welcomes your authentic self as you share your story with her. She is confident that you are the expert when it comes to your body. She enjoys working with you to understand what motivates you to achieve any goal, and she uses and additive approach to help you to set small and realistic targets as you work together towards the longer-term objective(s). She believes that “even baby steps are steps forward”, change happens over time, and motivation ebbs and flows.
Your first session with Katelyn
Katelyn will be asking questions and reviewing any lab work that you have in order to fill out your thorough nutritional initial assessment, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions. These questions vary but will help Katelyn to develop a treatment plan that is individualized to suit you.
