About Katherine
Hi! My name is Katie and I've been a Registered Dietitian for 5 years. I grew up playing sports and riding horses competitively, but I struggled as a teenager. After years of issues with body image, my weight, and my gut, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Meeting with a dietitian to help with my own nutrition solidified me choosing this career path. In addition to personal experience, I have well-rounded clinical nutrition experience working in hospitals and dialysis centers with people with kidney disease, malnutrition, obesity, celiac disease, heart disease, and other issues. I provide a unique and empathetic approach to nutrition counseling.
Approach to care
I help people find solutions to their nutrition issues that are realistic, long-lasting, and healing. My goal is to make eating healthier an easier choice. Through my own experiences and teachings, I've developed methods to teach my clients lifelong healthy habits to feel their best. The program we develop together is completely customized to you and your unique needs/goals. I'll provide you with helpful resources, as needed, including meal plans, recipes, and cheat sheets. I understand how overwhelming making dietary changes can be at first because I've been there myself. I'm here to give you the support, education, and accountability that you need to reach your goals and maintain success.
Your first session with Katherine
In your first session, we'll lay the foundation together to determine how I can best help you. Initially, we'll discuss expectations for our time working together. We'll go through an in-depth nutrition assessment and I'll learn all about you and about your goals, eating habits, lifestyle, approaches you've tried before, and much more. From there, we'll come up with action items for you to work on before our next session. I'll also give you any tools we deem necessary in order to help you be successful! At the end of our first session, we'll make a plan for our follow up sessions.

I completed both my Bachelor's Degree plus my combined Master's Degree and Internship Program at the State University of New York at Oneonta.

My hobbies include weight lifting, horseback riding, hiking, reading, cooking, baking, and hanging out with my pets!
