About Katherine
Hi, I'm Kate! I am a registered dietitian with a background in psychology and emphasis in mental heath. I have experience working with clients of all ages and a variety of populations through both private practice and acute care. In the hospital setting I have helped provide nutrition therapy to patients with many disease states and conditions, from diabetes and cardiovascular disease to gastrointestinal disorders and complex surgery management. Outside of the acute setting, I enjoy forming a relationship with clients over time to manage and improve their overall health and their relationship to food.
Approach to care
My approach to care is founded in empathy and a commitment to creating an environment free of judgement. I help clients make sustainable and achievable changes for their health-related goals through a personalized, empathetic approach. I use a weight-inclusive and intuitive eating-informed approach to help clients create a better relationship with food and their bodies to improve overall quality of life.
Your first session with Katherine
In our first session we will take will take some time to discuss your relationship to food, any current health challenges that you may be dealing with and what you're hoping to get out of working together. We will explore these ideas to create short and long term goals together that work for you. This is a collaborative and safe process where you are encouraged to be open and honest. I will work to make sure your thoughts and concerns are addressed and understood to build a space of trust and collaboration each step along the way!
