About Katherine
My name is Katherine Tate. I have worked in the field of nutrition for many years covering everything from sports, public health, eating disorders, weight loss, cardiac, diabetes and nephrology. I am married, and the mother of two sons. I like to cook and love to be outdoors. I am involved and active in my community and church.
Approach to care
I have a practical and realistic approach to healthy living. I believe that positive outcomes can result from healthful eating habits. We are surrounded by conflicting messages, marketing claims, fad diets and products. I believe in focusing on whole foods, minimizing ultra-processed foods and avoiding quick fixes. But it's also about balance. Burgers happen. Chocolate might have its place. Learning to incorporate and "handle" not-so-healthy foods is healthy.
Your first session with Katherine
The focus will be on relationship building during the initial session, as well as gathering information about habits and goals. We will work together to establish personalized and attainable goals. I want you to feel comfortable in sharing and have trust in receiving accurate information and feel motivated to fulfill established set goals.
