About Katherine

Growing up in a rural community with limited access to fresh, healthy food, I saw how food systems and resources impact wellness, inspiring me to pursue a career in nutrition. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Master of Public Health, and I now work in a community with a high prevalence of diabetes. To better serve their needs, I became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). I also teach cooking classes for those new to the kitchen or facing financial and time barriers, empowering individuals with practical skills and confidence to improve their health and well-being.

Approach to care

With training in Medical Nutrition Therapy, I support clients managing conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and gastrointestinal disorders, as well as those focusing on disease prevention and overall wellness. I’m especially passionate about preventative care and mindful eating, helping clients make meaningful, personalized changes that lead to long-term results while honoring their traditions and preferences. I believe everyone deserves compassionate, accessible nutritional care and take a flexible, client-centered approach. My goal is to empower every individual to find confidence and freedom in their relationship with food

I’ll ask questions to understand your daily routines, preferences, and any cultural or personal factors that shape your eating patterns.
