About Katherine
Hi, I'm so happy you're here! My name is Katie, and I have been practicing as a Registered Dietitian for the last six years. In that time, I have thoroughly enjoyed working as the team dietitian at multiple schools for a variety of diverse collegiate athletes. I loved when my athletes came running to tell me about the goal they accomplished after making positive changes to their nutrition. Being a part of the education and encouragement that lead to that reached goal was one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work. That said, I look forward to working with you one-on-one, hearing about your nutrition struggles and goals, and ultimately providing you with the nutrition knowledge, guidance, and accountability you're seeking to help you feel your best!
Approach to care
Getting to know my athletes beyond their sport was another part of my past jobs that I loved. Over the years, I’ve realized that forming personal relationships with my athletes was a key part to creating sustained change in their nutrition. Thus, in my practice, I utilize a client-centered approach that seeks to understand you, beyond your nutrition alone. In getting to know you, I will be able to personalize my nutrition care to help you grow in your nutrition knowledge and empower you to achieve your goals. I'm here to meet you wherever you are at on your nutrition journey, understand where you want to go, and help to get you there!
Your first session with Katherine
During our initial meeting I will focus on your ‘why.’ I want to develop a deep understanding of why you signed up for Nourish and what you are looking to get out of meeting with a dietitian. This will include discussing your health history, your typical day-to-day, your experience with nutrition and body image, and your short/long term lifestyle and nutrition goals. At the end of the session, you can expect to leave with confidence in the nutrition plan discussed and have actionable steps you can implement prior to our next session.
