About Kathleen
Kathleen has been a registered dietitian for over 20 years. During her career she has worked in many different specialties and with patients from the littlest preterm infants to the elderly. Kathleen has worked in areas such as general nutrition, cardiac rehabilitation and pre and post natal clinics, thought the majority of her career has been spent with a focus on pediatrics, developmental disabilities and working with adult and pediatric patients with eating disorders. Kathleen has been a dancer all her life which also fueled her passion for nutrition. While in college, she worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, so you can be sure her knowledge of sports nutrition and ability to help with performance and weight management is second to none. A few years ago, she returned to the dance studio as both a teacher and competitive ballroom student renewing her focus on proper fueling for athletes.
Approach to care
When you work with Kathleen you can be sure that she will meet you where you are at. The goals are led by the patient and she is here to help you not only meet those goals but continue to set new ones you didn’t even know you had! Kathleen will give you the tools, knowledge and confidence to be the most successful you can be.
Your first session with Kathleen
In your first session Kathleen will take the time to listen and learn. Establishing rapport and trust is important to her and she really believes that it is this trust that leads to successful outcomes. We will go though your current lifestyle, nutrition patterns and health status and reflect on past approaches and struggles and how your past and current experiences can be used to ensure a successful future.
