About Kathy
I’m Kathy a Lifestyle Medicine Dietitian and Diabetes educator with over 30 years of experience helping people feel better in their bodies, build confidence in the kitchen, and create simple routines that support long-term health. After many years in traditional healthcare, I launched my own practice nearly a decade ago to focus on what I’m most passionate about: empowering people to transform their health through simple, realistic nutrition and lifestyle changes. I specialize in plant-forward approach to nutrition, diabetes and prediabetes care, culinary nutrition, and lifestyle medicine approaches that support long-term metabolic health. I believe deeply in progress over perfection. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life to see meaningful improvements — small, consistent changes can create a powerful ripple effect. Together, we’ll build a plan that feels doable, supportive, and tailored to your unique goals.
Approach to care
I care deeply about creating a warm, encouraging space where you feel comfortable, supported, and understood. My approach is gentle, practical, and rooted in helping you build habits that feel realistic for your life. You can expect: -A friendly, judgment-free environment -A focus on adding foods (especially plants!) rather than rigid restrictions -Simple, achievable steps that feel manageable -Personalized guidance that meets you exactly where you are -A lifestyle medicine lens that looks at the whole picture — eating well, moving more, stressing less, connecting, getting good sleep, and establishing new habits. I’m here to help you feel empowered, not pressured; supported, not overwhelmed.
Your first session with Kathy
Your first session is really a conversation — a chance for me to get to know you and what you’re hoping to improve. We’ll talk about your daily routines, health history, challenges, and what matters most to you. By the end of our time together, you’ll walk away with: -One or two simple, confidence-building steps to get started -A personalized plan rooted in your goals and lifestyle -Practical suggestions you can use right away -A sense of ease, clarity, and support My goal is for you to leave feeling hopeful and encouraged, not overwhelmed with information.

Hobbies
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. We’ve continued my mom’s tradition of weekly family dinners — a time filled with good food, connection, and lots of laughter. I also enjoy traveling, especially anything Disney-related, and I’m happiest when I’m creating new plant-forward recipes to share with others. Giving back is important to me, and I volunteer and advocate for people living with diabetes, lupus, and arthritis. These causes are close to my heart and inspire much of the work I do both personally and professionally.
