About Katie

Hello! I’m Katie — a mom of three young kiddos, a Registered Dietitian, and a Certified Aquatic Fitness Professional with over thirteen years of experience in nutrition and twelve years in fitness. As a parent, I understand firsthand the complexity of balancing family life, work, and personal health. That perspective shapes my approach and helps me support clients in creating realistic, sustainable habits that fit into busy lives. I’ve worked in hospitals, clinics, gyms, public health, and private practice, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how to guide clients through a variety of health concerns and life stages. My specialties include weight management, weight loss, bariatrics (pre- and post-surgery), prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, intuitive/mindful eating, pre- and postnatal nutrition, gut health, and sports nutrition.

Approach to care

I’m passionate about helping people rise above perceived obstacles by highlighting strengths, celebrating progress, and focusing on big-picture goals with creative, actionable strategies. My approach is collaborative and compassionate—meeting you exactly where you are and building a plan that feels realistic, flexible, and empowering. I believe fueling your body should be enjoyable and personal, not rigid. I help clients reconnect with their body’s cues, embrace an ā€œall foods can fitā€ philosophy, and shift away from all-or-nothing thinking toward a more sustainable rhythm. Through small, consistent steps, long-term change becomes both achievable and enjoyable.

Your first session with Katie

Our first session is all about you. We’ll dig into your health history, lifestyle habits, medications, and complete a comprehensive nutrition assessment. I want to understand who you are as an individual so we can create meaningful short- and long-term goals together. By the end of the session, we’ll craft a follow-up plan tailored to your needs and the number of visits that will support confident progress. At each follow-up, we’ll review the positives, identify any barriers, and adjust your plan as needed so you continue moving forward.
