About Katie

Katie has 4 years of experience as a registered dietitian nutritionist, and has experience working with disordered eating, vegan/vegetarian diets, IBS, heart health and diabetes. Regardless of what reason you are pursuing a dietitian’s assistance with change, she incorporates intuitive eating principles and meets you where you are in your health and nutrition journey without judgment. Her passionate and friendly approach will inspire you to ask questions and feel supported. She’s very passionate about all things food, including exploring new restaurants, trying new foods while traveling, cooking new recipes at home, and helping people enjoy food again guilt-free!

Approach to care

Katie believes in a holistic approach to nutrition and that the key to a healthy life is based upon balance and moderation. Her intuitive eating, non-diet approach and “all foods fit” philosophy empowers people to build a healthy relationship with food and their body and teaches patients that they can be flexible with food choices while working to prevent and manage chronic illnesses. She treats each client as an individual to best support them with building small sustainable goals that add up to huge differences! She incorporates evidence-based research within her practice and myth-busts the latest and “greatest” health trends so you know what will work best for you and your health.

Your first session with Katie

During your first session, you can expect to have an engaging, comfortable conversation. Katie will be focused on getting to know you a little better so she can understand why you’re interested in working with a registered dietitian and what health and nutrition goals you have in mind. While gathering background information, she will also want to know about your current and past relationship with food. Together, you can decide on a tangible step to implement right away, resources to help you make that step, and a plan for future appointments. Follow-up appointments will discuss more details and work through any barriers that arise and are preventing you from achieving your goals.
