About Katie

Hello! Iā€™m Katie, a registered and licensed dietitian. Isnā€™t the world of food and nutrition and body and exercise so confusing? Iā€™m extremely passionate about having a positive and loving relationship with food and challenging the convoluted messaging we receive on a daily basis. Iā€™m honest and laid back, compassionate and a good listener. I understand life has its challenges and barriers to moving forward so letā€™s break down those barriers together and give you peace in your relationship with food and body and exercise. I have been an RD for 20 years having worked in public health followed by working in higher levels of care for eating disorder treatment. Iā€™m a hard worker and will continue to push myself to learn and provide the most relevant and effective support and education.

I am a dedicated registered dietitian specializing in eating disorder treatment. With a compassionate and evidence-based approach, I help individuals rebuild a positive relationship with food and their bodies. I am committed to providing personalized nutrition care, emphasizing balance, nourishment, and sustainable well-being. Intuitive and mindful eating, all foods fit, challenging the narrative and messages we receive on a daily basis. Experiential practices such as grocery shopping, portioning, eating a challenging food together and so much more. If you have a team, I hope to collaborate with them to provide the best care. Nutrition is not a one size fits all so we will tailor our sessions to your specific needs and goals.

Your first session with Katie

In our first session, you can expect a compassionate, judgment-free conversation focused on understanding your unique relationship with food, body and movement. We will take the time to learn and understand your health history, eating patterns, lifestyle, and goals to create a personalized approach to nutrition. This is a collaborative journey and all I want to do is support, educate and cheer you on from day one. I want you to feel seen and heard. I canā€™t wait to meet you and get started!

Hobbies

I find cooking and baking to bring me joy. It doesnā€™t always turn out right but it is fun to experiment and provide meals for my family. Knitting, walks with my two pups, puzzles, books and podcasts are what I like to do for me. Coaching soccer, board games, reading together every night, and cooking together are some of the ways I connect with my 3 boys. My husband and I enjoy a good glass of wine and game of cribbage as often as we can fit it in. As a family we like to cross country ski, travel, and catch up around a bonfire.
