About Katie

Hi, I’m Katie — a registered and licensed dietitian with a passion for helping people feel their best through food and lifestyle. Over the years, I’ve split my time between clinical inpatient care and outpatient counseling, allowing me to work with a wide range of individuals and health conditions. I’ve supported clients in managing weight, type 2 diabetes, heart failure, and other cardiac issues, as well as those simply looking to build healthier habits for everyday living. I love forming real relationships with my clients and helping them make sustainable changes that fit their lives — not the other way around. My dual experience in hospital and outpatient settings has given me a broad understanding of how nutrition impacts health across the continuum of care. Outside of work, you’ll find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, or out exploring with my family. We love to travel, spend time outdoors, and enjoy good food together.

Approach to care

I approach each session with a friendly, open, and non-judgmental mindset. I understand that making lifestyle changes isn’t always easy — it takes time, patience, and the right kind of support. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to make choices that support your health and well-being. As your dietitian, I’m here to be both your support system and your accountability partner. We’ll work together to set realistic, attainable goals that fit into your life — not add more stress to it. Whether you're managing a specific condition or simply trying to make healthier choices, we'll take it step by step, building habits that are sustainable and tailored to you.

Your first session with Katie

During our first session, you can expect us to spend some time getting to know each other and reviewing your current lifestyle. I’ll ask questions about your eating habits, daily routine, medical history, and any challenges you may be facing. This helps me gain a full picture of where you’re starting from so I can better support you with realistic, personalized recommendations. I also want to hear from you — your goals, concerns, and what you’re hoping to gain from nutrition counseling. Whether you’re looking to manage a health condition, improve your relationship with food, or simply feel more confident in your choices, our first session is all about building a foundation for progress. Most importantly, this is a judgment-free space where we work together to create a plan that fits your life.
