About Katie

Nutrition information (or rather misinformation) can be confusing to navigate on your own, especially on top of your already busy schedule and life! That's where I come in - Katie, a credentialed Registered Dietitian with a background in dietetics and a Master of Public Health in Nutrition! I have over 6 years of experience helping clients (including Veterans) achieve their health goals through personalized, whole-person nutrition strategies. Whether you are working on your weight, needing an individualized meal plan, managing chronic conditions like diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, or simply needing an accountability partner, I am here for you. I'm committed to fostering a supportive space that empowers you to make sustainable and long-term choices that support your health!

Approach to care

My approach to nutrition care is centered on a client-focused philosophy, evidence-based practices, and cultural humility. Health means something different to each of us, so that means each client needs different support! I believe that food should be an enjoyable part of life. To me, health means eating with no rush, enjoying any food I want to eat, sleeping well, moving my body with ease, managing my stress, and feeling energized throughout the day. I'm here to help you get back to the basics and establish sustainable habits that support your long-term health goals. My goal is to provide you with knowledge to help you gain confidence to make empowered decisions about your own health and relationship with food.

Your first session with Katie

In our first session, we’ll complete a comprehensive nutrition assessment where I'll gather background information on your medical history, current eating habits, stress levels, relationship with food, your goals for our work together, physical activity, food preferences, emotional state, and more! This will help lay the groundwork for our future sessions. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan with long-term objectives and outline practical steps you can begin taking to progress on your health journey. You'll leave feeling clear with your next steps and confident in your ability to move towards your health goals!
