About Katisha

My name is Katisha Nielsen. I have been a registered dietitian 18 yrs. As a former D1 college athlete in track and field I know the importance of nutrition and wellbeing. As a mom I focus on nutrition to maintain a healthy life and energy levels. Having experienced hormonal disruption led me into learning about female health and using a holistic approach to wellness. We will work so you can succeed and have your health in your power. I have a non-diet approach and focus on sustainable results. I have experience in woman's health, diabetes, sports, pediatric and weight loss nutrition. I will guide you towards being empowered in your wellness and what works for YOUR body to feel optimal.

Approach to care

My approach to care is one that is holistic meaning it is a mind-body wellness approach. Nutrition is more than just what we eat. It includes our daily routines and things such as stress management, time availability and our environment. I use a non diet approach and emphasize changes that are gradual but consistent which is ultimately a great way to meet your goals in any area of life. I am very patient centered meaning that your recommendations are tailored to YOUR specific needs. Everyone deserves to live their best lives!

Your first session with Katisha

I believe knowing where someone is coming from will help in knowing how to help and better tailor their wellness plan for them. In the first session I will get to know you more and get a glimpse into your day to day life. I will ask quite a few questions, but don't be alarmed and any information that you share is your choice. This is a judgement free zone. We will get a feel of what your needs are and how I can assist and encourage you with your goals. The session may include questions about your lifestyle including nutrition, stress management and daily practices. I look forwad to helping guide you to attaining your goals.
