About Katrina
Food and movement have been my classroom and my solace. I earned a BS in Dietetics and Nutrition from Keiser University and have spent 13 years working across hospitals, long term care, private practice, and two years at Reach7 Diabetes Studio focusing on weight loss, diabetes, and prediabetes. As an RD and LD I bring clinical experience and practical problem solving to every visit. Three years ago I began my own weight loss journey, losing over 80 pounds in 1.5 years and maintaining that change through sustainable habits. When I'm not with patients you'll find me cooking, baking, weight training, gardening, hiking, or reading.
Approach to care
Food shouldn't be a punishment or a quick fix. Grounded in current evidence, I work through a weight-neutral lens that focuses on behaviors and health outcomes rather than shame or short-term diets. I'm warm and direct, so we'll set clear, actionable steps and hold practical accountability together. I consider the whole person, from sleep and stress to movement and mood, and I teach the why behind recommendations so you can make informed, sustainable choices that fit your life.
Your first session with Katrina
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where I'll review your medical history, medications, and any lab work or biometrics you have. We'll take a deep dive into your relationship with food, explore past attempts and barriers, and identify strengths to build on. From there we'll establish short-term, realistic goals and create a meal plan you can start using right away. You don't need to have everything figured out, just bring your questions and we'll make a practical plan together.
