About Katy
I am a registered dietitian with experience in adult acute care, pediatric clinical care, and outpatient counseling. While I value strong clinical care, I feel most energized when building meaningful relationships and walking alongside people as they realize their potential. I work with adults 18 and older and especially resonate with those who are pregnant or postpartum, busy professionals, and individuals navigating disordered eating, or a complicated relationship with food. My path to becoming a dietitian was shaped by my own lifelong journey with nutrition. Finding balance and peace with food sparked a deep passion for helping others do the same. I know how overwhelming nutrition can feel, and I strive to be a steady, safe space in the midst of that noise.
Approach to care
My approach is warm, open, and collaborative, but also practical and structured when it needs to be. I believe that rigidity is rarely sustainable, and that true health comes from flexibility, self-awareness, and small, meaningful shifts over time. I practice weight-neutral, evidence-based care with a special interest in intuitive eating. My goal is not to push a meal plan or lifestyle that doesn’t fit your real life. Instead, I want to meet you exactly where you are and help you build habits that feel attainable and aligned with your values. We will talk about more than just food. Sleep, stress, mindset, movement, work demands, family life...because all of these things matter. I want you to feel heard, respected, and safe in our work together. You should never feel judged, pressured, or forced into change before you're ready. Together, we will set goals that support long-term health outcomes and help you feel more confident and at peace in your body.
Your first session with Katy
Our first session is about getting to know you. We will explore where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you hope to go. We’ll talk about what has worked for you in the past, what hasn’t, and what may have felt frustrating or confusing about your health. I want to understand what motivates you, and what drains you. We will review your health history and any labs or testing you would like to share, and we’ll begin identifying an intention or goal for our time together. Expect the first session to focus on gathering information, building clarity, and setting a direction that feels supportive and realistic for you. Most importantly, this is a space for your questions about nutrition, about your health, or about me. This is a partnership, and I’m honored to be part of your journey.
