About Kayla
Hi, I’m Kayla, a Registered Dietitian currently based in California. I hold a Master's in Nutrition & Dietetics, and I bring seven years of experience in counseling and nutrition education. As a well-traveled person, I have experience interacting with a wide variety of cultures and practice being open-minded. When I'm not working, you may find me rock climbing or hiking. Just as I cheer on my belay partners when rock climbing, I will be here to support you in every step of your health journey.
Approach to care
My care philosophy centers on collaboration and sustainable change. I ground my approach in current research while keeping you at the center of every decision. I practice with empathy and warmth, aiming to create a judgment-free space where you feel seen and supported. I use a direct, action-oriented style to translate science into concrete steps you can actually fit into your life.
Your first session with Kayla
Think of our first session as a conversation, not a test. We'll explore your history with food, your daily routines, stress, physical activity, and what you want to change. You don't need to have it all figured out; I’ll listen and ask thoughtful questions so we understand your reality. We’ll identify 1-2 realistic goals to start, and I’ll outline how we’ll track progress together. Most importantly, you’ll leave knowing we’ll work at your pace in a warm, supportive space.
