About Kayla
Hey there! I'm Kayla. I'm a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Texas Medical Branch. My background is working with organ transplant patients, a setting where I help nourish and support people through some of the most critical times of their life as well as have the privilege to support them through the best of times. I specialize in weight management and the management of chronic diseases like diabetes, liver disease, hypertension, and high cholesterol. I also love to support people that are seeking to improve their health and prevent disease in general! Outside of work I love hiking, fishing, cooking, junk journaling, and reading.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is rooted in evidence-based nutrition and centered on helping you build trust in yourself through small, achievable wins. With your lifestyle and values at the forefront, we'll create a road map to success that fits your real life. We'll look beyond the scale and measure success through consistency and improved health markers. Sustainable change happens when you feel capable, and our work together is designed to build that confidence week by week.
Your first session with Kayla
Our first session is all about getting to know one another. We will talk about your health history, daily routines, values, and what has and hasn't worked for you in the past. I'll listen to what matters most to you. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet, and our space is a no-judgement zone. By the end, we will identify achievable next steps and a game plan to move forward!
