About Kayla
Kayla has been a Registered Dietitian for more than five years. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in General Dietetics and went on to complete her dietetic internship at Lipscomb University. She has worked in both clinical and public health environments; however, most of Kayla's experience has been at WIC, gaining extensive experience in prenatal, postpartum, and breastfeeding support. During this time, she also completed training to become a Certified Lactation Counselor.
Approach to care
Kayla takes a highly individualized approach to patient care, recognizing that nutrition is never a one-size-fits-all situation. She focuses on creating realistic, sustainable changes that fit each person’s lifestyle and needs. Kayla wants her patients to leave each session with a clear goal and understanding of what they are working towards.
Your first session with Kayla
In your first session, Kayla will take time to get to know you as a person - she'll walk through some general questions about your day to day, family dynamic, self beliefs, etc.. You'll also review pertinent health history and health goals. Depending on the plan you and Kayla develop, you can expect to schedule 2-4 follow ups before ending your first session.
