About Kayla
My name is Kayla and I am a Registered Dietitian based out of the Bay Area. I hold degrees in psychology and nutrition, and completed my dietetic internship at UCSF. With a strong background in mental health, and both clinical and community nutrition I feel that I have a unique perspective on behavior change. I believe all foods fit, and there is no such thing as "bad for you." When I am not talking to clients about food, I am probably grocery shopping, cooking new recipes, or trying new restaurants in the Bay Area. You can also find me at the gym, up in Tahoe, or reading a book. Let's chat!
Approach to care
I believe that strong partnerships, support, and trust are key to successful behavior change. That, and that the best diet is the one you are going to stick to! With that in mind, I like to work with my clients to determine small yet effective areas for change in their daily routine. We will work to set goals together, and come up with a plan that works for us.
Your first session with Kayla
You can expect fun conversation where we will take the time to get to know one another. From there we will explore where you are at with your nutrition, and where we want to go. In initial sessions I like to prioritize our connection and trust before getting into the nitty gritty. We can do that next time! I will have you warn you, you may come away feeling motivated and excited :)
