About Kayla
Hello! I'm Kayla - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Licensed Professional Counselor in training (LPC-IT) with a passion for helping children, adolescents, and adults build a healthy relationship with food and themselves. I have several years of experience supporting clients who struggle with disordered eating, food fears, anxiety around eating, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
Approach to care
I use evidence-based nutrition counseling with a compassionate, client-centered approach to create a safe space where clients feel supported in their healing journey. I take time to understand each person’s unique story, values, and goals, and work collaboratively to develop a plan that feels realistic and meaningful. My style blends nutrition expertise with counseling skills, focusing not only on food choices but also on the emotions, stressors, and patterns connected to them. Above all, I aim to foster trust, curiosity, and growth as we work toward building a more peaceful and flexible relationship with food and self.
Your first session with Kayla
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I enjoy learning about clients' childhood and family life to gain an understanding of the people and events that have shaped who they are today. We'll spend time discussing what you’re hoping to gain from our work together, as well as how you best learn and receive support. Together, we’ll outline a plan that feels supportive and realistic — whether that means navigating food anxiety, working through disordered eating patterns, or finding more peace and flexibility in your daily life. My goal is for you to leave the initial session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of what our work together can look like.
