About Kaylan

Seventeen years as a Registered Dietitian have taught me how to balance clinical rigor with practical, everyday coaching. I earned my BS in Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, completed my supervised practice in Moorhead, Minnesota, and have practiced in hospital and outpatient nutrition settings. My training as an RDN, along with certifications that support diabetes care and weight management, helps me translate science into clear, sustainable steps. When I’m not working, I raise poultry, mountain bike, hike, cook, and travel to recharge.

Approach to care

Evidence guides the work I do, and we'll use research-backed strategies to create lasting habits instead of chasing quick fixes. I practice from a weight-neutral perspective, which means our focus will be on behavior, function, and well-being rather than the scale. I'm direct and action-oriented, while remaining empathetic and nonjudgmental. Together we'll blend education, practical tools, and attention to sleep, stress, and movement so changes fit your life and stick.

Your first session with Kaylan

Expect an engaging, judgment-free conversation where we'll dig into your relationship with food and walk through a usual day to begin identifying patterns to help manage you feel more comfortable in your body or to have better management of your diabetes. I want to hear about your history, wins, and frustrations so we can set a few clear, manageable actions. You don’t need to have all the answers before we start. We'll leave with practical next steps and a plan to adjust as we learn more together.
