About Kaylen
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees earned at Florida International University between 2018 and 2023. My background as a collegiate track and field athlete shaped my passion for performance, health, and the role nutrition plays across the lifespan. Professionally, I bring diverse experience from food service management, where I worked as a supervisor for two years and became ServSafe Manager certified, to public health, where I currently serve as a Senior Public Health Nutritionist. I have worked extensively with children and adults, combining clinical knowledge with real-world application.
Approach to care
My approach to care is patient-centered, culturally competent, and grounded in evidence-based research. I believe nutrition counseling should be collaborative, practical, and individualized. I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships with clients to better understand their goals, barriers, and lived experiences. Using SMART goal setting, I help clients create realistic, sustainable changes that fit their lifestyle. My work includes nutrition education, meal planning, and clinical nutrition therapy, always tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences, and cultural background.
Your first session with Kaylen
In your first session, you can expect a supportive and judgment-free environment. We will review your health history, lifestyle, and nutrition goals in detail. I will listen closely to your concerns and work with you to identify priorities for change. Together, we will begin developing personalized goals and practical strategies you can apply right away. Education will be clear and actionable, and you will leave with a plan designed to support long-term success and confidence in your nutrition choices.
