About Kelly
Hi! I'm a registered dietitian and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor with experience working with patients from diverse backgrounds and settings. During my time in graduate school I developed a passion to help others understand the impact food has on their body and long-term health. My primary goal is to build stronger and healthier bodies through diet and lifestyle modifications, while taking into account all of the various things that also impact health, ie: socioeconomic status, access to healthcare, environment, and more!
Approach to care
Through evidence based medicine I tailor each session to the specific needs of my clients. By using principles of intuitive eating and practicing mindfulness, we address the root of your nutrition and lifestyle behaviors. I believe that all foods can fit into a healthy diet! I'm not here to reinvent the wheel or tell you what you can and can't eat. I'm here to help you reach your health and wellness goals in the most sustainable and effective way possible.
Your first session with Kelly
A large portion of the session will include questions related to your nutrition- what a typical day of eating looks like for you, food likes and dislikes, family dynamics that impact food choices, etc. Because I take a holistic approach to wellness, I will also ask questions relating to your sleeping habits, stress levels, movement in your day, hydration, what you're hoping to achieve by working together, and more. This gives me a better idea of who you are, what you're looking to change, and how I can help bridge the gap.

Hobbies
I love to be outdoors! I find so much peace being in the mountains. Currently, I'm taking advantage of living in San Diego by learning how to surf! At home I enjoy watching movies with my husband, and cuddling with my chihuahuas, Moonie and River.
