About Kendall
Kendall Farr (she/her) is a dietitian based out of North Carolina. She got all three of her degrees from the University of Georgia: Bachelor's in both Psychology and Dietetics and a Master's in Nutrition. Her background in psychology combined with her own lived experience recovering from an eating disorder has given her a passion to help others heal from similar experiences and improve their relationship with food for life. In her sessions, there is 1) no BS and 2) no judgement! Whether you are looking to heal a disordered eating pattern or just hoping to learn how to best fuel your body, she has been there. She gets it. She knows how to help.
Approach to care
Kendall’s main focus is to get your brain and body to work together on the same “team” again. To do this, she first wants to ensure every client feels heard, validated, and empowered both in session and out of session. She practices from an inclusive, weight-neutral, Health at Every Size framework and believes you and your wellbeing are more than just numbers - in her care, you will never work towards physical health at the expense of mental health. In session, she incorporates elements of intuitive eating, mindfulness, and somatic healing because healing your relationship with food also means healing your relationship with self and body, too.
Your first session with Kendall
Your first session will be fun! You and Kendall will be a team; it’s important to feel comfortable. She firmly believes seeing a healthcare provider doesn’t have to feel daunting or stressful. She will ask you for some background around your lifestyle, habits, health markers, and your own personal health beliefs, and then the two of you will set up a personalized plan moving forward towards your goals
