About Kerry
I bring over 20 years of experience working with individuals navigating heart disease, prediabetes, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, food allergies and sensitivities, autoimmune conditions, and weight-related concerns. I also support patients using GLP-1 medications, helping manage side effects while maintaining proper nutrition. My passion for this work is personal. I’ve witnessed the impact of early heart disease, diabetes, food allergies, and celiac disease within myself and my family, shaping my commitment to prevention and patient empowerment. In addition to my clinical experience, I’m a long-time home cook and recipe developer. I create customized meal strategies that align with health goals while preserving flavor — including Southern cuisine, especially for individuals in Texas and across the South.
Approach to care
If you’re managing multiple health concerns and unsure what you’re “supposed” to eat, you don’t have to give up flavor, culture, or the foods you love to improve your health. My approach is personalized and practical. I begin by listening — understanding your lifestyle, schedule, stress level, food preferences, cultural traditions, and readiness for change. Together, we create realistic, manageable steps you can implement confidently between visits. I believe nutrition changes should fit your personal tastes and real life. I don’t just tell you what to eat — I teach you how to build balanced plates that support blood sugar stability, heart health, kidney protection, and symptom management without sacrificing flavor. My style is compassionate, structured, and focused on progress — not perfection. Sustainable health change comes from strategy, consistency, and support.
Your first session with Kerry
In our first session, we’ll take the time to really understand where you are right now — your health history, current challenges, daily routines, and what feels most frustrating or confusing about nutrition at this stage. We’ll talk through your top concerns and what matters most to you. Whether that’s managing blood sugar, improving heart health, navigating food sensitivities, supporting GLP-1 use, or simply feeling better day to day — this is about your priorities. From there, we’ll identify a few short-term, realistic steps that feel doable for you. No overwhelm. No drastic overhauls. Just thoughtful changes that fit your personal tastes and lifestyle and help you build momentum. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling clear, supported, and confident about your next steps.
