About Kerry

Hi! My name is Kerry and I have been a registered dietitian for 13 years focusing on sports nutrition, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes management, women’s health, and weight loss. I hold a certificate in diabetes management in addition to completing a 500-hour yoga teacher training focusing on mindfulness and meditation. I have worked with newly diagnosed diabetes patients in addition to working with Green Berets and fitness competitors to optimize their sports nutrition. I also worked for Medtronic Diabetes training patients on insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. I love helping people achieve their nutrition goals and feel the best possible so they can live out their passions.

Approach to care

Kerry believes in taking a collaborative approach to your care. You will be excited and committed to achieving your goals and making changes. She will be your biggest cheerleader. Kerry utilizes an evidence-based approach backed by the latest scientific research. While utilizing motivational interviewing, she will help provide education, motivation, and accountability along the way. She will help you set smart achievable goals whether it’s for body composition, performing at your optimal peak performance for a sporting event or optimizing your blood sugar control. Ultimately, working with Kerry, you will find a sustainable plan that you can maintain and stick to long term.

Your first session with Kerry

During your first session with me, we will take a deep dive into getting to know you. Together, we will make this a positive experience by exploring your health journey and what is most important to you. This includes your medical history, schedule, lifestyle, current relationship with food, food preferences, current goals, and any barriers. This is also a great time to ask me any questions. From there, I will come up with a set of actions and one to two small goals to achieve before our next appointment. In the next several appointments, I will come up with a tailored treatment plan that you feel empowered by. I will give you the tools you need to succeed while having fun along the way.
