About Ki
Hi there! My name is Ki (pronounced KEY), I have been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for >7 years. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with patients in hospital, post-acute care facility and skilled nursing homes. My passion for nutrition began when my grandmother had uncontrolled diabetes. At times, I was teenager who had very limited knowledge about how dietary change has impact on this disease. After getting into nutrition field, I was able to use foods as medicine and had lifestyle change to empower myself to manage my gestational diabetes well. I'm passionate about helping each individual find sustainable way to improve their overall health and manage chronic diseases.
Approach to care
With advanced technology nowadays, there is excessive health advice on the Internet and social media. I understand how confusing it can be especially when someone has encountered new diagnosis. I take collaborative approach to care and listen to you so that we can work together to cultivate a positive relationship with foods.
Your first session with Ki
In our first consult I want to know about you! I want you to feel comfortable and at ease knowing I am here for you. We will spend time going over your medical history, your typical eating patterns, daily routines, any barriers to change. We will then set individualized realistic short-term and long-term goals.
