About Kim
Kim is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She has over 20 years of professional experience. Kim has worked in a variety of outlets including hospitals, diabetes education centers, medical device education, retail (grocery store), and telehealth nutrition counseling. Kim has personal experience with Type 1 diabetes as she was diagnosed at age 12. Kim's specialty is diabetes education, but she is a knowledgeable dietitian in other areas, such as overweight and obesity, heart health and hypertension. In 2006, Kim obtained the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Approach to care
Nutrition education does not need to be complicated or expensive. Kim strives to find a simple solution to fit everyone's needs. She enjoys counseling on a realistic approach, keeping in mind what is most important to the individual she meets with. There are no good or bad foods, everything can be enjoyed in moderation!

Kim enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys walking, running, listening to Texas country musicians, gardening and cooking. Her favorite things to watch are anything that makes her laugh, home design and remodeling shows, and football. Go Cowboys!
