About Kim
I am a Registered Dietitian and Integrative and Functional Nutritionist. I have spent a majority of the past 30 years raising and homeschooling my 8 children. In 2013 I was introduced to the field of Functional Medicine and started focusing my continuing education on Functional Nutrition therapies. I became a Certified Integrative and Functional Nutrition Practitioner and absolutely love this whole body approach to healing especially for those with chronic illness. In addition I am passionate about helping cancer survivors to heal from treatment and recover their health. I believe life can be full of health and vitality by applying the proper tools and principles in life. I love to learn from books, podcasts and my clients! I love nature and the beauty and peace it provides!
Approach to care
As a dietitian and functional nutritionist I peel back the layers of symptoms and look for root causes. Addressing root causes usually solves resulting health challenges like weight gain, low energy, lack of focus and mood issues. I utilize 3 pillars of treatment to address these root causes: DIET, LIFESTYLE and ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES. I believe education is the motivator behind change and spend lots of time helping you understand the why behind the what. With a balanced approach to these 3 pillars you will come to experience a new harmony in your life on the road to healing. I believe good health is a life long journey and as with most journeys there are mountains to climb and valleys to explore. Your journey is unique to you and that's how we will approach your care, with your needs in mind!
