About Kimberley
I'm Kim, and I've been a Registered Dietitian for about 5 years. I grew up in Grambling, Louisiana, and have since lived in South Louisiana (Lafayette and Baton Rouge). My passion for nutrition and dietetics began when I was working on my biology degree and took a general nutrition class as a prerequisite. I, and those around me, had always struggled with our health and relationship with food. With this newly discovered passion, I decided that becoming a dietitian would not only help me but could also help others. I would not only be able to provide information from an evidence-based research lens, but also empathy, care, and recommendations grounded in lived experience. Throughout my career, I have worked with the general public and those with acute and chronic health-related issues/concerns. I look forward to connecting with you and improving your health and perspective on food!
Approach to care
I utilize the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) when providing nutrition-focused care for my patients and/or clients. This provides a systematic, individualized, and patient-centered approach. I create a relaxed, informal environment to discuss their life and how those factors can affect their overall health and food choices. From there, we work together to create goals and/or a plan for improved outcomes.

Begin building rapport to create a relaxed, judgement-free environment to discuss life, food, overall health, and health-related goals. Also, develop a general patient/client profile to assess appetite, meal pattern, relationship with food, GI health, and barriers (physical, emotional, environmental, etc).
