About Kimberly

As an experienced dietitian and health educator who has been practicing for over 20 years, I have enjoyed supporting clients one-on-one and in groups with making positive lifestyle changes in areas such as general wellness and vitality, weight loss, weight management, and chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. My passion for helping others comes from having worked through my own weight and health challenges using the evidence-based strategies and techniques I use with my clients. My hope for all my clients is learning how to manage their health long-term while also enjoying food and lifestyle habits that nourish their soul and joy for life!

Approach to care

Working with me will be a collaborative experience, honoring your lifestyle, culture, values, beliefs and traditions. I believe in a holistic approach and the use of mindfulness techniques to support your journey. We will also use motivational and behavior change techniques that empower you with the ‘HOW TO' skills to turn your knowledge and desire into action and create positive behavior changes! These skills will also be used for navigating disruptions and set-backs so you can get back on track and stay on track and build confidence in your ability to continue managing your health and wellness long-term.

Your first session with Kimberly

Our first session is all about you! -Questions you might have, information you may need to get started and why you came to Nourish. We will also review your health history, current lifestyle habits, medications, and complete a nutrition assessment. We will discuss your long-term health goals and what benefits you are hoping to experience by reaching those goals. When you are ready, you will choose small, realistic and achievable goals (or steps) as part of your personalized plan to reaching your long-term goals (this may or may not happen in the first visit). At each consecutive session, we will review your successes and challenges, adjust the plan, and build on your progress!
