About Kirsten
I am a registered dietitian with 15 years of experience in the healthcare and counseling worlds. I have spent my career constantly learning and growing the art and science of nutrition care. I have a vast amount of experience treating and counseling patients across the lifespan from neonates to older adults and with conditions ranging from picky eating, malnutrition, and allergies in pediatrics to weight management, disease management and wellness in adults.
Approach to care
I believe that without collaboration and realistic goals, nutrition care loses it’s value! I approach nutrition care from a whole person perspective, creating a completely judgement free zone, and work to fully understand each individual’s needs, situation, support structure and resources in order to create an individualized plan of care that works uniquely for you! Nutrition care is complex and needs vary from person to person; there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all nutrition plan and I look forward to learning more about you!
Your first session with Kirsten
In our first session we’ll take time to learn about each other, focusing on you and your needs and wants from me as your dietitian and laying the foundation to develop your unique plan. I will spend time learning about your relationship with food, your medical/family history, looking at labwork/physician notes, your overall knowledge of nutrition/food, your preferences, likes/dislikes and anything else that may be helpful to begin to curate a plan to achieve your goals!
