About Kirsten
Hi, I'm Kirsten. I'm a Registered Dietitian with one year of experience, holding an MS in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Columbia University, as well as an MBA. I've worked across clinical and hospital settings, private practice, community health, and sports nutrition, bringing a practical, science-based lens to everyday choices. After a career in advertising, I returned to school to pursue my passion for helping people improve their health through nutrition. When I'm not working, I love reading, cooking, watching movies with family, exercising, and hiking. I look forward to getting to know you!
Approach to care
I believe care should be grounded in evidence, empathy, and collaboration. My approach is science-focused yet compassionate, translating current nutrition research into practical steps you can actually follow. We'll work together to set clear, doable goals and build a plan that respects your life, preferences, and schedule. I practice with a health-at-any-size mindset and focus on sustainable habits, not quick fixes. I aim to educate you so you feel confident making informed choices long after our sessions end.
Your first session with Kirsten
Our first session is all about you. We'll discuss your goals, your day-to-day life, your medical history, eating habits, and relationship with food and movement, plus anything you want me to know. The session lasts about 55 minutes. We'll keep it judgement-free and collaborative, focusing on what matters to you and removing pressure. You don't need to have everything figured out, just come as you are, and we'll identify one to two realistic next steps to start.
