About Kirstin
Hi there, I’m so happy you’re here! My name is Kirstin Kavountzis, and I’m a registered dietitian with over 2 years of experience working with wonderful individuals just like you. I’ve had the joy of working with people in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and in the community. I’ve worked with many specialties, including general health, weight loss or gain, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disease, cancer, kidney disease, and more. Whatever you’re coming in with, we’ll approach it together! My style is warm, collaborative, and completely tailored to you and your goals. Nutrition can feel confusing and overwhelming, so I’m not just here as your dietitian—I’m also here as a listener, cheerleader, and guide on your nutrition journey. No question is ever a silly one, and I’ll always provide clear, evidence‑based recommendations that fit your life. I truly can’t wait to meet you and get started together!
Approach to care
My nutrition care philosophy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and individuality. I believe there is no one‑size‑fits‑all way to nourish your body, so together we’ll create realistic, sustainable plans that fit your lifestyle, culture, and preferences. I aim to make nutrition feel less overwhelming and more empowering by providing clear, evidence‑based guidance, while always honoring your lived experience and personal goals. In our work together, you can expect a supportive, non‑judgmental space where every question is welcomed and your wins—big or small—are celebrated!!!
Your first session with Kirstin
In our first session, we’ll be doing lots of chatting and getting to know each other, so feel free to get cozy—and don’t forget a big glass of water to stay hydrated! We’ll talk about what brought you here, your health history, your day‑to‑day routine and habits, and any medications or vitamins you’re currently taking. This helps us build a strong, personalized foundation for your nutrition care moving forward, so everything we do truly fits you and your life. P.S. If you’ve had any lab work done in the last 3 months, I’d love for you to bring those results along—or I can help you request them. Labs are one of our secret tools for understanding what’s going on inside your body and tracking your progress over time.
