About Kit

Hello, my name is Kit. I'm an advocate for a compassionate and healing approach to food and your body. I have experience working as a clinical dietitian at a hospital where I see a variety of patients dealing with every health condition you can imagine, from heart disease to diabetes. One of my passions is working with clients with a history of eating disorders, disordered eating, and emotional eating. If you've ever tried to make changes in the past and been unsuccessful, I'm here to tell you that you are not alone! I've worked with clients who've struggled with eating and their body for years forge a new path towards peace with food. One of my client reviews said the following about me: "She has a way of making you feel known and safe." In your sessions with me, I will always strive to provide you with a space that feels safe, supportive and free from judgements. It's in this space that you'll discover how to develop the skills that I hope will support you for the rest of your life.

Approach to care

I favor a less regimented approach to eating and weight management in favor of an emphasis on teaching you how to rebuild your relationship to food by employing components of intuitive eating, mindful eating, and integrated eating. You’ll leave sessions with me feeling empowered to finally break free of patterns of behavior that no longer serve you. I like to dig deep into your why while giving you concrete skills and strategies to make positive changes in your life. When you give yourself permission to eat in a way that's balanced and nurturing for your body, you begin to remove the power food has held over you for far too long. Cultivating kindness and compassion towards your body, your eating patterns, and yourself is an essential piece of the work we'll do together. Change is possible and I'm here to help support you on this journey. You can do this!

Your first session with Kit

In our first appointment, we'll begin by getting to know one another. We'll review your medical history, talk through your current routines, find out what has and hasn't worked for you in the past, and look at any labs or biometrics relevant to your plan. We'll discuss any barriers to change. You will always leave our sessions with at least 1-2 small concrete goals to practice for the week ahead. You'll also leave your first session with me with increased strength and confidence in your ability to make positive changes in your life. A path towards peace with food and your body is possible. Let me help you get there.
